Cordyceps, a wonder supplement

I was wondering what I am scheduled to blog about, until I checked the time and it was time for me to take my supplement, which was 2 capsules of Tianshi Cordyceps Mycellium. As I took them, I was telling my daughter how effective this supplement really is. I had colds and cough two weeks ago, and now they’re gone. A week ago, I was even able to sing with the choir during the mass. This never happened in the past, and I hope it will remain this way whenever I catch a cold, that it will always be short even when accompanied with cough later.

I don’t take antibiotics anymore, and I hope that will be forever. Whenever I believe I already need antibiotics, I just double the dosage of Cordyceps so I take 4 capsules each time. The regular frequency of intake is twice a day, but it shortened my cough when I took the same doubled dosage thrice a day (4 capsules three times a day), but I did that only for 3 days, so when I noticed that I improved, I went back to just twice a day intake, still four capsules each time but only for a few days again. Now I’m back to the normal intake of 2 capsules twice a day.

As instructed, I take Cordyceps with an empty stomach or two hours after eating, and with warm water, never cold water. Cordyceps is indeed a wonder supplement (discovered and studied thousand years ago) but probably it should really be sourced from a manufacturer using biotechnology like Tiens. The article "On the Trail of the Yak - Ancient Cordyceps in the Modern World" is really a good resource material that is why I’m mentioning it for the second time in this blog.

The best gift

If the best gift is a gift card, how should Santa Claus look like? He will still wear his symbolic costume, and will still look the same since his looks have brought happiness to many, from one generation to another. However, his carriage can be reduced to half, as well as the number of reindeer. He no longer will need to bring a big bag, instead he can just bring a big envelope that can contain all the gift cards he will be giving. Santa knows better because the people also know better now. They know that a gift card is a much better gift than the rest, and may even be used during "after Christmas" sales.

If everyone will give a gift card, there will be no more "white elephants" inside the house that sometimes are mistakenly given as gift the following Christmas season, to the same person who originally gave the gift. That can be very embarrassing! So hurry, go to that gift card mall website now! You may even design your own gift card!

My favorite foreign song is a Christmas song

I didn't have any idea that "Frohlocket Ihr Folker auf Erden" is a Christmas song since I can't understand German, until the Christmas season last year. Maybe this is one song I'll always appreciate regardless of the choir who'll sing it, though I was used to the interpretation of Arwin Tan, the conductor of Novo Concertante Manila, and who was also the former conductor of University of Asia and the Pacific Chorale from whom I first heard the song in July 2005.

I am touched whenever I hear this song, I can't explain why until I learned that it was originally sang during the Christmas season. This composition by Mendelssohn exclaims the joy and thanksgiving of the world for He has sent His son for the redemption of mankind.

I'd like to share this version sang by Novo Concertante Manila, during their Thanksgiving concert at the Holy Family Chapel at Kamias, Quezon City, and another one shot last night during the "Merry Novo Christmas" concert of Novo Concertante Manila and friends at the Holy Family Chapel at Eastwood City, also in Quezon City. I used my Sony P72 camera to record the one sang during the Thanksgiving concert and my Samsung U600 cellphone to record the latter, so you'll notice a big technical difference as far as the audio is concerned. I'm happy though that despite the far shot, my Samsung cellphone gave a bright picture.

An indispensable object

What object outside a house is indispensable? It cannot be the fence or the gate because we all know that a house can even look better without them. I can only think of one object: a mailbox.

A mailbox should be as durable as the house, since it can contain the most important document in a person’s life. It should be properly labeled either with an address sign or the name of the owner of the house or both.

A mailbox should say something about the house that owns it. Just to exaggerate, a Mickey Mouse design does not fit a house with a classic design like the columns of Parthenon. It’s nice to know that there is a website where we can choose a lot of mailbox designs for our houses. I’m glad that this blog can again be a link for people to be able to choose beautiful mailboxes fit for their homes.

Preventing cancer

Yesterday, I went to Makati Medical Center (MMC) to get the results of the sonogram of my breasts. It is about one block away from the office of Tianshi Phils. so I told my husband to just wait for me there since I haven't seen any male waiting inside the Breast Clinic of MMC. When I came back to Tianshi Phils., there were a number of distributors there, and one of them is my sister, Liza. My husband, Liza and I were comparing the current results with the results six months ago but there seems to be no change. What's more important however, is the printed result on the current findings saying "No features suspicious for malignancy".

The other distributors joined us when we were discussing what can be the best supplement that can prevent benign tumors from becoming cancer. There were suggestions, until one distributor told us about successful cases of people who underwent surgery to remove the affected part with cancer, and then went to her for therapy, by just lying on the mattress of Tiens. We knew that this is the best product of Tiens that can prevent illnesses, I even shared its features in my other blog, "Dreams List", because it is "A dream product". However, those who have cancer cannot use this mattress since it can even nourish the cancer. But for those who were already operated and the cancer was removed, they can lie on the mattress to prevent the regrowth of cancer.

I was convinced that this is the best product for me but we don't have extra funds to purchase it, nor sufficient funds for our daily expenses. I am now praying for the release of the check of the buyer of our townhouse by Pag-ibig Fund. The amount of the check is not even sufficient to fund 40% of our daily expenses for the coming year since we already have debts to pay for the next 18 months, but I think I have to prioritize this need for cancer prevention, so I need to allocate funds for it, "bahala na" (a popular Filipino belief meaning "come what may"}. I have to prepare around 50,000 pesos to purchase it, but I will be getting rebates maybe amounting to 8,000 pesos or more depending on my rank in Tiens by the time I'll buy it.

We also discussed the following prevention practices which I or anyone preventing cancer should accustom ourselves to, even before we get the Tiens Dream Bio-energy Mattress or any supplements:
1. No meat. It is the food of cancer.
2. Eat more fruits and vegetables.
3. No softdrinks and processed foods (no more ham and hotdog for me? OMG)
4. Exercise even by just walking 4 hrs. once a week.

One of my best friends whose one breast was operated for very early stage of malignant cyst has convinced me to come with her to the regular novena to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Baclaran every Wednesday. I have to walk fast from the jeepney station to the MRT station, walk to the LRT station and then walk to the church, and then after the novena is a back-and-forth walk with her to the small shopping malls around, so that ensures my regular weekly walking exercise. I haven't mentioned to her about the Tiens mattress so I feel obliged now to tell how it can help her avoid the growth of cancer cells.

To summarize the features of Tiens Dream Bio-energy Mattress, it has alternating magnetic therapy, germanium stones that will emit infra-red for a regulated number of minutes, tourmaline stones that will activate for another number of minutes to produce negative ions, and jade stones. There is a controller that regulates the number of minutes of stone activation. On the other hand, I know that the list of practices to prevent cancer I've presented here is too short, so there should be a part 2 of this post.

Fearing cancer

When my children were still little, I’ve always feared for their health. But when they became grownups, I feared for my own health because my grandmother died of cancer at the age of 56. Some of my relatives who passed away, like Rio Diaz who was popular in the Philippines, died of the same cause at an earlier age.

To have cancer was a great fear so when a cyst was detected in my uterus because of occasional pain, I only waited to turn 45, which was 5 years after my cyst was detected, to undergo total hysterectomy. I was given HRT or Hormone Replacement Therapy right after the operation, but after a year, when I heard that the therapy will expose me to the risk of acquiring cancer of the breast, I stopped.

The turn of events after I was retired early from work, I realize now, quite fits me because I am now exposed to total awareness on how to prevent cancer. That is the main reason why this blog, “I Don’t Want To Retire!” has started to include health and wellness. I am beginning to learn a lot about the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM, which I find amazing. I want to share everything I learned in whatever subject, but TCM is not an easy subject. Rest assured that I will surely share what I will learn about TCM, once I figure out a style that can be easily understood by the readers.

For now, what I can share is a brief TCM learning that cancer of the breast can start with an imbalance in the liver. In TCM, imbalance refers to the qi (pronounced “chi”) or the flow of energy in the body. This coming December 15, I will undergo a sonogram of my breasts so I hope to share more about this topic after that.

Today, December 11, is my mother’s birthday. My only wish is for her to remain healthy. I hope to give her something for her health, and the most appropriate for her is Cordyceps supplement that was used by the ancient Chinese emperors and dignitaries to heal them from any illness. I prefer the Cordyceps manufactured by Tiens because I’m sure of its quality and I already have benefited from its effectiveness many times. I need to research though how I can purchase this from a Tiens branch in North America, Tiens Canada, and have it delivered to Las Vegas where my mother resides, since my mother has to take this supplement on a regular basis. What helped me confirm this choice of supplement was an article titled On the Trail of the Yak - Ancient Cordyceps in the Modern World.

Even animals want changes

It was not easy for me to layout Wendy's habitat because I have to be sure she will be out of danger at all times. Oh well, if you notice, there is a difference from the first photos of her new home, from the ones I'm now posting. It was Wendy who made the change, so all I have to do now is to observe if she can really cross her bridge, though I noticed she's now enjoying going under it, so in the first photo, you probably won't find her, unless you'll zoom in the photo.

A new home for Wendy

My pet green turtle, Wendy, is now more than a year old and has grown as big as the round stone that was already present in her pool since she was a baby and less than half the size of the stone. She obviously deserves a bigger dwelling place, so we got her a bigger aquarium, but I don't intend to fill it with water. The glass all around will simply serve as the fence of her habitat, which consist of a small oval basin for a deep pool, a rectangular tray for a shallow pool, and a short branch of a tree to serve as a bridge, since turtles love crossing bridges. I have to create a practical habitat for her for easier weekly or bi-weekly maintenance.

I can never take Wendy for granted because of a miracle that she has shown us. You'll get my point if you've read one of my earliest post, Miracles Are For Animals Too.

Her space is also very practical because it is next to our kitchen sink and is situated at the northern part of our house where the green turtle symbolizes strength especially when alone, based on Feng Shui.
